Put the 20mm cannons on your mech and shoot them. The small guys will go down faster than they can react most of the time.

There's an upgrade to your mech body that you can equip in the PHC Free Zone. It's at the top of the structure that the large mech in that area is guarding

Yeah I'm starting to get pretty frustrated. I paid $40 for a game where my huge badass mech gets INSTANTLY smoked the MOMENT another mech sees it. 10/10 I guess.
Maybe dev will adjust those parameters in the next patch. Quite annoying too. Also the range at which they shoot is insane too. Like I need to shoot so much higher to adjust for ballistics and those roaches just kill me in 5-6 shots
Yeah I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the combat. You die almost instantly from basically any enemy that snaps onto you with perfect aim, even on very easy mode

If you hold down the jump button, you boost forwards super fast (with the starting legs, at least). It doesn't help in actual combat but you seem to go fast enough that you can run past enemies faster than they can aim at you, it lets you slip past the final gauntlet of mechs in the Free City to reach the next area.

Also I've noticed a lot of mechs start out nonhostile (all the ones in the harbor, the police light tank near the manor in the residential area), if there's no humans nearby shooting at you it's best to not pick a fight.
(And the easiest way to kill regular humans is to run them over, it's cheaper than shooting at them and also easier)

That's because diffuclty doesn't actually change. It always defaults to Normal

Lol really? Guess I shouldn’t be surprised, this is the same dev that didn’t make the armor system work in CS until 2 years after launch
