So, I get stressed out by choices like this, especially when it's not completely obvious what matters. Any tips on duds vs. real bombs and how much it matters in the game?

I can see a justification for helping with what the character wants and for trying to prevent further mischief.

If you give him duds, you'll get a couple of side quests later from one of his customers who is not too happy about the bombs being fakes.

After the way Gilly reacted differently to different choices in the opening sequence I could already tell that my choices matter more in this game than in most others, so I've been delaying making any decision.
