Entry Not Granted (bug)

So I found the cryptex parts and fixed it and put it in the alter before I started this quest. Is there no way to complete this quest now? I can't get it back out of the alter.

Did you get a item when you placed the cryptex in? (it was a paper thingy)

All that I found at the top of the tower were the cryptex rings. I can't find the cryptex anywhere.

Me neither, I got the rings but can't find the cryptex anywhere

Hello! The cryptex should be under the rock pile at the top of the ruined tower. The one on the right of the last ladder.

I broke the rock pile, but no cryptex. To reproduce: before I went to the city to get the quest I went to the top of the tower, opened the rock pile but figured out i didn't have any more space in my inventory, got out of the tower and went to my camp to put some stuff in a chest, went back up and broke the rock pile.

Do you know of a way to finish this part without resetting the game?

This was just fixed in Hotfix 1 for Steam players. I’ll check it out on the other builds and let you know the status!

Wow that's fast! Thank you for the update! I'm playing on xbox game pass. If you can keep me updated on the fix on that platform, I'd greatly appreciate it :)
