Beta/Preview Branch
In order to work on new features of the game with the least amount of disruption, I've created a BETA "preview" branch where I'll be uploading the latest build. I'll be periodically promoting this to the main version, but if you can't wait and want to see the latest features then you can opt-in.

Please be advised that changes in the BETA build might cause unexpected side effects to your pilot profile and may have some bugs that cause the game to not work as expected.

To Opt-in to the BETA...
  1. Right click on the game in your Steam library
  2. Select "Properties..."
  3. On the new window choose the "Betas" tab
  4. Select the "Preview" beta, or choose "None" to revert back.
  5. Leave the access code box blank, close the window and Steam should download the update.

Note: There's also a 'rollback' branch which is there purely in case of emergency. You should be able to ignore this one, but if for some reason the main and preview build are both broken in some way, you can try this older version which may still work.

[added] Can now look left/right in cockpit. See control reference PDF for details. [added] Cockpit HUD now shows an additional circle which indicates the aiming direction of the Raven cannon and Avenger chin-gun. [added] Show version number on the front-end and in-game Options>Mission page. [fixed] Horizon line didn't extend to the screen edges in 0.5 zoom mode. [changed] Minor tweaks to the volume control UI.

note: the control reference PDF mentioned here is in the install folder. The version on the Store page is for the current live version 0.5

[added] More varied island buildings for the "Tornado!" scenario. [fixed] Rare game crash when multiple tornadoes fight over uprooting the same palm tree. [added] When dropping a person who was hanging from the ladder. If they land in a drop-off zone, they will run to it. [changed] Remember the last page when returning to the map screen. [fixed] Minor tweaks+fixes for the layout of the home base in "Tornado!" scenario. [fixed] Minor visual errors with surfer characters.
