Also, I know it has been mentioned prior, but allow me to echo the sentiment, please do something to inform the player that certain characters are required on certain missions. The resource expenditure required to simply enter some of these missions represents a non-trivial amount of gameplay time, and having it wasted because you suddenly realize the characters that you kitted out for the mission are not the ones you're being forced to play with is anti-fun.
On the roulette wheel, the VIP reward is not always awarded, despite having VIP status. Not a big deal for someone on their free 3 days of VIP time, but in the case of someone who has paid for VIP status, this is a serious problem, as while the benefits are many, any one of them not working, regardless of how small it may seem, results in a player not receiving something they PAID MONEY for.
The power level recommendations on the missions are laughably inaccurate. I have gone into missions with three times the recommended power level and gotten utterly destroyed in the first room. Even if the recommendation is per character and not for the entire team, it's far too low in most cases. This applies to expeditions as well. The long expedition has a recommended power level of 150. I still get wiped with 300+ power characters more often than it seems like should be reasonable. I'll concede that the opportunity to run into extremely bad luck and have this happen does help keep things interesting, but if I more than double the recommended power level (or triple in the case of a mission) the expectation is that it should be trivial for this character. A suggestion here would be to introduce some level of scaling for the rewards that would see very high power level characters earn less rewards for content that should be far too easy for them, so it becomes a game of risk vs reward, rather than straight luck. In a risk vs reward scenario, the player is encouraged to attempt something where they expect succeeding to be difficult or unlikely, and when luck goes their way, it's a big dopamine hit. And if it doesn't, there's no real cause for frustration as failure was the more likely result to begin with. The inverse of that is the current system where I send someone out, expecting to grind out a little cash in relative safety and end up wasting a significant amount of time for nothing. Succeeding when I expect to fail is fun. Failing when I expect to succeed is not.
While the tone of this has been highly critical, I hope it's taken as constructive criticism, as my overall impression so far has been good. I want to keep playing, which makes it all the more frustrating to encounter these sorts of issues. I'll keep grinding for now, and will consider throwing a little money at this game in the near future if some of these issues are worked on. As a software developer myself, I know projects like these are a huge undertaking, so your team has my respect for all the work that's gone into this! I'd say you're at the 90th percentile with what I've come to expect from these sorts of freemium games, but in this niche, playerbases are notoriously fickle, as there are always a dozen more similar games waiting to capture their attention. I really hope you can get this over the finish line quickly enough to maintain the interest it has generated so it becomes profitable, as with a little more polish, this is one I could see myself coming back to for a long time to come.
