1440p at 60 FPS
Hi guys,

I searched around for setting my OBS to both record and stream at 1440 at 60 FPS but after streaming last night, I wasn't too happy with the results. It looked choppy and just not the quality I expected it to be.

A little information about what I have:

GTX 1080 (no overclocking)
32GB DDR4 RAM
Intel i7-6700K

And this is what I have set up on my OBS:

Output
Output Mode: Advanced
Encoder: NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new)
Rate Control: VBR
Bitrate: 30000 Kbps
Max Bitrate: 70000 Kbps
Preset: High Quality
Profile: High
Look-ahead: No
Psycho Visual Tuning: Yes
GPU: 0
Max B-frames: 1

These settings are pretty much the same settings for both streaming and recording.

Video
Base (Canvas) Resolution: 2560x1440
Output (Scaled) Resolution: 2560x1440
Downscale Filter: Bicubic (Sharpened Scaling, 16 samples)
Common FPS Values: 60

What should I do to get this to be a really great quality video at 1440p with 60 FPS? I have a pretty good Internet connection so the amount of data being sent shouldn't matter I think. Or at least shouldn't matter that much.

I'm using Twitch to stream.

Speed Test
Ping: 12ms
Download Speed: 947.24 Mbps
Upload Speed: 104.69 Mbps

OBS Settings

I did change from VBR to CBR because I think that's where the choppy video comes from, now it feels more fluid and consistent. I also set the bitrate to 70000 Kbps.
