Steam Deck

Has anyone tried this game on Steam Deck? It officially says "unsupported," but wouldn't be the first "unsupported" game to run reasonably well. Playing these on a handheld anywhere around the house would be great.

Hi, the games work with some caveats. In order to play you'll need to untick the Gold Box Companion box and use a custom layout or a keyboard.

• The Gold Box Companion will stay in the foreground, blocking access to the game. Switching windows (in the Steam menu) does not work. Hopefully this is the only issue and will be fixed soon.
  
  
• Sometimes the games will stutter. So far I've notices this while loading or when music is playing and text is being written to the screen at the same time.
  
  
• There is no Close button for the launcher and you won't be able to read the journal or manual on the Steam Deck. To exit you'll need to use either Steam -> Exit game or hold Steam + B.
  
  
• Lastly you'll need a keyboard or a custom layout. I've created one for the Krynn games and two for those from the second collection. I hope they are visible. Sharing layouts on the Steam Deck has been a PITA. If not, please let me know and I'll share them again.

@Ph34rn1cht3R thanks for this. Couldn't find this info anywhere else online. I ultimately figured out that it was the Gold Box Companion that was making the games unplayable, but it's good to see confirmation. +1'ing this for anyone else looming for this info.

Hey, I have just got a new Steam deck, wondering if you can share the layouts they don't seem to come up for me?
