Is your save disk in Drive?

I created 3 characters without a problem. Then, surprisingly, it just stopped allowing me to make a character. It goes into a loop once it's time to save the character. It asks if my save disk is in drive (then it has a square looking icon to the right). I've clicked "yes" I've clicked "no"...it doesn't allow you to create a virtual save disk. It doesn't allow you to get out of the character creation process. It basically forces me to end the program from the task manager. The same loop occurs when I try to add the 3 characters to my party. I also tried to "reset" all the data from the main loader screen. That didn't help. Very disappointing.

The solution is to validate your local files (via preferences). In my case, it found two files that could not validate. After Steam did its update, the program worked again. I'm going to leave this thread up in case someone else experiences the same problem. It was still a disappointed initial attempt to play these games (I started w/ Krynn sereis because I've read the main books (Chronicles/Test/2nd Gen, etc). Still cool this series is on Steam.
