In the real Premiere League this past season, one Midfielder who really came on in late season that was in reality "press resistant" was Billy Gilmour of Brighton. While he didn't start much until late in the season, the wins and draws that Gilmour were a part of - showed how much of an impact he could make in the face of opposition pressing strategies. Gilmour doesn't score the goals, he doesn't have the "flash" like a Haaland/Striker displays, although Gilmour did help Brighton to draw with the champions City 1-1. Gilmour's most important skill is the quick-pass in the face of the press, yet the passes are precise/on-target. I think that's an underrepresented dynamic within the FM Series, that it's not just Passing skill, but Passing with haste yet precision. That ability to pass without delay is in itself, one of the key skills in the game if you want to be like the "glue" that holds a team together through the match, so there are many players like Gilmour who don't get the fame or headlines but solidify the work in the midfield that brings results.

It's stuff like this that makes me think, why am I still playing this game?

If you ever have the chance of signing Scott, do it. Dude is an absolute unit, got him locked since I play CL every season.

Defensive Mid or Centre Mid?? Or even Offensive Mid

definitely not defensive mid, centre mid is a great option (best) but also offensive is a great option both are great
