Steam offline mode.

My Internet went yesterday and won't be fixed for a couple of days. I was able to play football manager yesterday in offline mode no problem. However when I go to load it up today its coming up Steam is currently in offline mode. For the first launch go in Online Mode. Why does it think it's the first launch and am I out of luck till I get the Internet fixed?

Was the game/Steam fully up to date prior to the internet going down? I can't say I've ever seen this happen before, and unfortunately it may be a case of waiting it out. Could you hotspot to your phone for internet? Or if it's a laptop take it too a local public wifi?

No it's like this every time when I use the steam deck and am not connected to the internet. It's very annoying because it's not the first load and when I'm using the steam deck it's not always possible to hotspot due to location. If you want to replicate just turn off your machine don't connect to the internet when you turn it back on and try and load football manager while your computer has no internet access. it'll tell you need internet access for the first load which is ridiculous since I've played for over 300 hours on that computer and it's not a new installation.

Yeah the game was up to date when it went down. Had played it the day the Internet went down in offline mode. Unfortunately the pc doesn't have wireless so no luck.
