Game play changes (your issue) are really only patched in those 2 big patches and tbh, the last few years the game was only really "done" after that last patch by the end of march/start April. That's 6 months after release when the game is finally the way it should have been at day 1.
They get away with that because of all those addicts that buy this game year after year for AAA premium price even if the game hardly changed the last decade, so SI have gone into "least effort, maximum profit" mode and it visibly works, you guys still buy it like crazy.
SI however couldn't care less if their product is subpar, they have no noticeable competition.
