Pre game editor giving me an error message

Shame I can't post an image.
When I try and open the pre game editor I get this error:

Would suggest reinstalling - unable to find essential data suggests it's a corrupted install.

If you still can't install, may be something interfering with the install process such as an AV program so worth reading this - https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/9997322566545

A similar error occurred.
Now that I know how to work around it, I'll post it.
The culprit was the installation location.
