I'm not sure. PS5 might struggle. I think it will be fine as long as you play 2D match engine.

The console version of the game is slightly difference from the PC version I believe, to make it easier to play with controller. Probably similar to the Xbox version, so just look that up on YT

I think so too until he runs some twitchcchhch in the background on another 4 monitors linked directly to his brain so it is fulfilled with enough content at the same time. I think i will buy new pc and upgrade mine 4.75 monitor setup to 7 mons and 3 tablets so my brsin is fulfilled...but joking aside ps5 is amd i hope fm wont melt it

The biggest benefit is to import pictures, logos and league systems on PC. I dont know if you can mod the game on console. But the game is just half-baked without some countries and original Club Names. The mods were usually additionall 10 GB space on the HDD.

And in the last years you had allways modify your game and delete some fake files to enjoy the full game.

But if the base game is enough for you, without fancy countries like New Zealand or Japan etc., the console version is good at all.

But if something is not right, you can add it on PC very easily.

@surfinbum

I'm having a hard time trusting FM on console a desirable experience.. Why to rather control a cursor with a stick when there's a mouse, one would ask?

So consoles accept PC mice & keyboard these days:
...using your USB or Bluetooth® mouse with your PS5 console

To answer your original question,

I think potential issues lie less with your hardware but rather SI and the general consensus that SI believe the vast majority of their customers to this day uses laptops from 2008, so, in their mind, they would throw a whole lot of customers under the bus if they actually updated FM to the standards of today, which includes your PS5..

In PS5's case, it very much depends on SI's effort they put into the playstation port, I doubt PS5's specs would be the ones to blame, performance-wise, if the port were unsatisfactory..

For me the editor alone makes the PC version far superior. No way I'd play the game without it!

I remember playing a footy manager on the Xbox 360 and it was awful. I couldn't wait to get back to the PC version and use a mouse instead of screwing about on a controller that wasn't designed for strategy games. Plus the editor, plus i'm guessing it will load up faster on the PC if you have multiple leagues in your save. For this game, pc all the way.

The main question is if pc users will not suffer for the design choices made to accomodate console players. Not if console can run it.

Dont forget the PS5 supports mouse and keyboard and the PC supports many controler and every modern TV for your gaming cave..

This decision if PC or PS5 is a bit obsolete. Both can everything if you want.

Personally I prefer PC because you have more modding options. But maybe I am wrong, we will see.

Console version is not the full version, that is only on PC.
