Any way to remap controls?

I found the thread below on GOG, but it doesn't seem to work on the Steam version. I tried putting the .map file in various directories and it doesn't work.

If you follow the same as the GOG thread, but add -3 to the filename it works in the current steam version.

Eg: mapper-0.74-3.map

Where exactly do I put the mapper-0.74-3.map file? Is it just in Dungeon-Hack Eng? I have been trying it everywhere and it just don't seem to want to work for me.

It works for me in this directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Forgotten Realms The Archives - Collection Three\games\Dungeon Hack-ENG

But will of course depend upon your steam install location and which language version you're playing.

Also make sure it's not accidentally named '.txt' at the end if you've got extensions hidden. Windows tells me it's file type is "Linker Address Map" rather than "Text Document".

Thanks Drake, you gave me the clue I needed with the whole 'if you had extensions turned off' thing. I think it should work now, I'll test it in a bit.

Yup. It's pretty painful unless you've got a standalone usb 10key number pad to use in your left hand, mouse in the right (for righties like me); or just remap everything to WASD (and QE for strafe/turn).
