Close to release, performance improvements?

While the gameplay runs fine during combat, the cutscenes goes all over the place with the stuttering, and don't even get me start with the loading screens.

Strangely enough, those are fine for me. Must be a hard engine to use

I am sorry to say that the performance did not improve (a noticeable amount, to me) from the demo lol
The game runs smoothly for me, but I can hear my fans going CRAZY in the background. It's funny because it doesn't look like it'd be THAT graphically demanding from its retro aesthetics.
I wanna play this sooooo bad, but I think I might wait on a PC upgrade.

Try turning putting lighting quality and geometry detail to low. I got a huge performance boost and I'm not looking at the background much anyway. My laptop gpu is like 15 degrees cooling and I'm not losing frames.

What a joke, I was hoping performance would at least be the one thing they'd improve for the final game. How do you f*ck up optimising a PS1-style game on current-gen hardware so much?

Nvidia performance seesm to be a bit wack in general. My old stanky AMD card shouldn't be outperforming a 3090 by a factor of 4 lel.
We're looking into it. For now set lights and geo to low.

I hope the performance will be improved because i have around 5 fps even on the lowest performance settings.
