Don't ask the developer to misrepresent their game that hasn't been released yet.
In a lot of instances however 'Modding' can be used to add DLSS to something, remove lengthy intro videos, solve crashing issues or fix mouse acceleration/Low FoV issues etc.
Outside of troubleshooting there's just always a plethora quality of life additions (UI screens, showing off-controller buttons for games that only default to one etc. etc.) that helps so many people out there in a variety of games and in a variety of ways.
