These devs understand how to price a game
I've posted about this many times in many sub forums on here. A game can always be over priced but it can NEVER be under priced because the free market will CORRECT an under priced game with additional product sales. It's very simple and ECON 101. Looking forward to this title and here's hoping other devs understand this and start a trend.

Indeed, coming off of the Avowed or MGS Delta steam pages that are $120AUD it's an insane breath of fresh air to see something not only a little more down to earth, but actually cheaper than the standard RRP

Even though this is Gamepass day 1, I plan to pick it up on Steam to support the devs (And let's be honest, so it also runs more natively on the Steamdeck :steammocking:)

this game has a small team and it's not triple A

don't know what you're praising them for, this price is standard for those type of games
No, consumers don't consume a product because it's cheap, but because they want it. So decreasing prices has no effect if your product is not what consumers are looking for. *
You should read proper economic books, beginning by those of Jean-Baptiste Say on that specific matter.
It probably means that the length of the game is not $70 worth even though the other elements are. $50 asking price means its probably a 15-35 hour adventure compared to other RPG's in this genre which are usually much longer experiences.

it's not that simple

If there are a lot of good games coming out in a period of time and someone doesn't have the financial situation to easily buy them all then the price does matter a lot. People are willing to overspend for something that they really want but there's more nuance to all the possible situations.

It's that simple. If I don't want a product the price won't matter. If I want a product, I will save money and buy it later. And that's the main consumer behavior. Now, you can calculate price-elasticity on a specific market segment to check how volatile consumers are. But it's probably too costly for too few benefits.
dose AAA even means anything small indie teams do better job

it does but mostly only for asian companies

western devs are talentless with rare exceptions

it may not have AAA budget but it sure looks better than most AAA copy paste games we get nowadays
