Relax, April 24 isn't tomorrow. There's plenty of time for them to release a demo to attract even more curious and undecided players.

heard somewhere that devs wont be releasing a demo. most you get is that first look exclusive to those streamers

It’s not odd at all. It happens all the time. It probably still has bugs and they would rather spend that time polishing the final version not the demo. A good dose of suspicion is good but let’s not turn it into paranoia. These days everything is suspicious. Even a 10% discount for preorders as you can see in another topic here.

Personally, I don't want the demo to play it, but rather to check if the game will at least launch before preordering, so I don't waste my time. Just like with Dune: Awakening, where I barely finished installing the character creator and couldn't even launch it due to an AVX2 error...

I plan on pre-ordering either way, but I'd love for a demo and/or a benchmarking tool. I shouldn't have many issues running the game, but it'd be nice to see where I can comfortably play with at least 60.

this is also why Steam heavily encourages publishers and developers to provide demos.
they somewhat implemented a soft-directive 1-2 years ago.

very simple. because the previous poster was worried of the game not even starting on his system. That's one reason why I prefer to play most games on ps5. Unless they are 1st person where I prefer pc. But I can't remember such a bad game that refuses even to start.
