Anyone planning to stream Clair Obscur?
Just curious. You could have 10,000 watchers, or only 10; I'm more wondering about how you plan to go about it. This'll be my first attempt at doing such a thing...with a viewer-count of exactly one.

Turns out, my sister isn't too big a fan of playing games: got her to play Tiny Tina's Wonderlands with me, and some other stuff like Diablo, but it's not her thing. She'd much rather watch someone else play them, to experience the story and characters alongside the player's journey. In this case, that person will be me, like when we were kids. Just, you know, not in the same household anymore lol

I've got about two weeks to figure out how to stream my Steam playthrough to a single person. Or, if my PC fails to run Clair Obscur, how to stream on the PS5. I'm assuming Discord will be involved in some capacity, so we can talk and whatnot, but I haven't poked around much to figure out its capabilities.

If anyone has any tips in this regard, or just want to share their own streaming plans, I'm all ears!

Initial thoughts:

If PC, then use Discord.

If PS5, consider YouTube or Twitch for the stream, then use a third party tool (e.g., Discord, phone call) to communicate directly with your sister. There will still be a delay from what shows up on screen howe'er.

In the PS5's case, turn off your PS5 mic so that the sound doesn't transmit to the stream. If you're using Twitch, go to your profile in the upper right, Creator Dashboard, Settings on the left, Moderation, then toward the bottom - set your stream to Follower-only mode and set it for something like 1 month.

If planning to stream to an audience in the future, make sure to adjust Follower-only mode accordingly.

Thanks for the heads-up: I've only used Twitch to watch someone like a half-dozen times total; never been on the other end of it. I have an account, but unlike my sister, I get almost nothing out of watching others play games lol. As for YT, while my channel has three extremely-old Overwatch clips, I've never considered actually using the channel for something in this regard.

I'll have to look into all of the above some more, although I'm hoping the PC/Steam will be my playthrough of choice and thus I won't have to fiddle with Twitch or YT.

Discord would be the most private way if you are wanting to have it just your sister and yourself. And I'm pretty sure Steam friends has a feature where she can ask for an invite to watch, but I've never done it myself.
But I'd say Twitch or YT streaming would be better for you if you end up liking streaming as 1 viewer can grow to more. Also stream delay you can tweak a bit so it's not a super long delay.
