Well, the redhead Maelle is Gustave's 16 year old foster sister, bio mentions she's a lot younger than the others. So can rule her out officially safe to say - though knowing fanfic authors, THEY will all pair him with her. Guessing she'll be the optimist of the group to offset the gloom of the setting and the others somewhat.

Heh, interesting twist would be - Gustave seduces the Paintress herself. To then betray her and kill her that way. Fitting revenge for killing the lady in the trailer who dies in front of him, by the way he looked at her guessing that was his love.

Edit: Serious note, I could see where Lune and/or Sciel could be romance options. That could make for an interesting side story that could alter the ending a little maybe, depending who you go with, if either. Just the bit in their bios show them as pretty different personality types.

I mean...there's some truth to fighting side by side with someone in life and death scenarios build strong bonds that could blossom into romance, making them not exactly pointless...and it is a French game, romance is kind of one of their things.

That being said, I can't say I care much either way. Just make the gameplay fun and engaging, keep the stakes high and let modders add to the game and I'm all in!
