Can we Play as Male character ?
95% target audience is male... I don't think being condescending towards male demographics would be good for this game... Not to mention catering to so called modern audience that consists of less than 1 percentage of gamer community.

Given the trailer with Gustave with him in the party, I have to assume this is a bait thread, but don't think it'll be as successful as the other modern audience thread.

I never really see any one character in JRPGs as the one you play as. You are a party, not one character. Cloud may be the main character in FF7, but everyone is my character.

There should be character creation so....

EDIT: Or you will play as party of companions so no main character. ?

You are right in your last sentence. :)

Strange, back in the 90s more than 99,9% of the audience was male. And nobody cared that you played a woman in Tomb Raider. Too many not grown up children these days...

My joke answer is that I believe that the 16 year old will end up being the true protagonist. And with her name being Maelle... we indeed will be playing as one.

i think you can pretty much play as anyone in the party

I mean, why not just say all gamers have always been men. What does the missing 0.1 percent add to this? Surely not accuracy.

Ya'll always have to drag politics into gaming.

I have no problem with playing a female characters and a lot of people are playing a female character in various game where you create yours.

What matter is how the character will be written and how much there will be politic/personal philosophy included in the narrative itself (which is a problem lately).

But a female as a main charater? That not new and there as been excellent games with them.

Just delete the thread. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve read for a while.

You play with a party of predefined characters. So anyone can be your main character that you control. It could be Gustavo if you want.

95% is a figure pulled straight from your imagination, as is the notion that you don't get to play as a male character in this game.
