My MAJOR issues with Clair Obscur...
Frankly, I don't know if I have not played enough of the game to get the full picture of the story but so far it is incredibly dull. A full cast of ONLY white characters doing the same drag dialogue with little to no context. (I Get what they're trying to do - but if you want to hook someone, you need to get a move on with the story!!!)

From the few combats I have been forced into the combat system does not require ANY skill. Just attack spam, and do some lazily done QTEs (Quick time events) to prevent damage. Yet Again, they may mix it up after the tutorial but I am a busy person and do not have the time for a story to build up for 7 hours!!! I suppose the game are swaying towards the white men where they all have unlimited free time on their computers and want 0 diversity anywhere. Sigh. So much for this "GOTY". If money wasn't so irrelevant to me I would've refunded it by now

Once people learn to quickly post "I'll take the jesters" immediately as these threads are posted, many of them will disappear. Points are the sole reason.

What an incredibly odd way to deflect any criticism towards the game. One click on my profile you'd see I have purchased multiple steam decks and a valve index. I can assure you points aren't the reason why I have posted my opinion on a game on a public forum. Again, what an incredibly weird way to deflect criticism. I suspect my white men comment hit the mark but that's just an assumption. Wouldn't expect an honest reply from you (no offense)

I mean, what do I expect from someone who can't even write a date down properly, I'd have trouble with this game too.

First of i don't see any sort of criticism on here from you. Second off the story engages the player pretty quickly. I would say in about 2ish hrs or maybe less the story really gets rolling once they reach the continent.
It requires you too think about what moves you will want to preform on the enemies.
I had zero issues with the reactive combat. There were many times when i thought ... "This is impossible .. i have hit a wall" Just to take the time to reform my strategy and try again.

Bold of you to assume that as a white male i want 0 diversity .... how dreadfully bold of you to assume ...

But clearly you don't want to take the time to learn about the mechanics / game world ... so return the game and go do what you want to do ... These posts are so tiring from people baiting for attention ... My advice ... Touch Grass.

my problem (if you actually read my opinions instead of rushing to post a paragraph of your own) is that i touch grass, and dont have time to sit through a 6 hour slog just to get to a decent game. and i'm glad youre for diversity but unfortunately its telling through the game that its not a priority of this dev team
