Design is interesting
Still roaming around in act 2. Bosses are something else.

On one hand You have main story bosses which should be cool and engaging but I mop the floor with them even while not being optimized or having done level grinding at all this is on expert difficulty. Sure "story bosses are meant to be beatable compared to every other boss" but doing a two or three attempt story boss means I don't get to see all their tricks as the damage swing is kind of all or nothing. Elemental Genesis does not care if you absorb or resist.

Then you have the Chromatic Bastards or off the path bosses. The one in Sad land was kind of miserable for the 20 minutes I spent on him but I suppose the Mimes are the warm up. While Scavenger on the other hand was quite enjoyable.

I do get it now why some don't like the parry system as it can let you opt out of the build system. I haven't cared about Luminas or Pictos (really I'm just looking for those feet). I know I can stroll up to something and just decide that I will put in the time to learn the parry timings and I will win. At the same time I can do that and see that I am not moving the needle on their health bar which a build would help with or if I would just do some main story and unlock the damage cap.

There is some good and some bad but this is a great game as far as I can tell.

Yeah. I'm doing a run on expert without any extra lumina points and I could still 1 round kill both phases of act 1 boss, 2 round kill dualiso. If I had good rng it would be 1 round, but not that big of a deal.

I missed maybe 2 parries of his like 6 hit combo and it only took out a quarter of verso's hp too. He did have auto shell though

Dualiso was one of the ones that got me excited. Then I saw my damage against him and went "oh no, please have a phase 2" and then thankfully he did only it got squished about as fast as his phase 1. Same thing happened with Mr. Masks.
