Story bosses have way to few hp(spoiler)
At first- I really like the game but all the important bosses after act 2 just die instantly. You actually need to hold back and not use your best abillities to not kill them or skip turns before they give you some information on the lore.

On act 3 it's even worse, you can kill many of them with burn stacks or even a basic attack if skilled right before a phase switch skipping all the in combat dialogue.

And I don't even include Maelle in there. It's just broken with basic things you would do and not the most op build avaible.

The best example is the end scene between Verso and Maelle. You can't listen to the in combat dialogue ever except is you skip turns. Even a basic attack at this points nigh enough oneshots your opponent on expert even on ng++.

Story bosses was meant to be finished first before tackling side content in Act 3 lol.
But go try that with Simon you're gonna be using Maelle real quick.

? I have 55/55 achievements like 1? week. Simon was not so bad. I skipped it in some way tbh. I did the parry game in p1 and till the enrage and just used the b team in p2(editp2) and nuked him down in the end.

But that's not even the issue there.

The bosses just have way to few hp in general. You can stack either 70+ burns instantly killing ANY story boss even on experpt or getting on the auto attack infinite turn thingy and keep them stunn/broken without even trying or do the maell thing, either way you skip alot of combat dialogue and most of the time it's on accident. (edit because you use abilities/pictos which do make sense damage wise but are actually completly broken without the intend to break the game.)

I'm finding the game becoming way to easy myself, but i'm not blaming the game for that. Its a RPG and its about the story/world/characters over the actions anyway. Also, I got 40+ years of experience from playing these type of games way back in the 90s. So I got a very good feel for synergy and tactics in these types which makes the game easier.

Just look in the forums and you'll see plenty of people having issues on everything in the game.... This game does seem to be a very slippery slope in terms of difficulty balance/shift.

Also, got to rember that story bosses are meant to be a gear/story check and not a impossible obstacle . Side bosses are far tougher, but you can always level up and go back if need be.... point is, this is more about other areas of the game being front and center over the combat difficulty.

True, the boss should be live-leveing to fit your level, even higher.

Maybe NG+, but first time through I think its fine cause again, its about the story/world/characters... not the combat.
I hope they do a proper balance sweep across the entire game, or just give us an option to enable level scaling (as much as I hate scaling, at least it would allow us to fully unleash without having to intentionally restrict our characters).

Spent the entire ACT III intentionally not upgrading any weapon above 20 just to have an ethical experience with bosses, yet even that was not enough for the finale (had to apply the DPS cap and avoid multi-hit abilities).

If you oneshot bosses in a single turn which are meant to be threatining but are actually just wet paper it does affect the story.

Maybe if you're completly new to turn based rpgs and you ignore things like speed/turn order/dots or even scaling. Even then it's nigh impossible to not end up completly broken in act 2 at worst in act 3.
