Cheapest PlayStation controller that will show the correct glyphs?
I can't use my XBOX controler cuz the letters on screen short circuit my Nintendo Brain ™️. I got my PS3 controller to work using something that appears to be emulating an XBOX controller cuz its not showing the XBOX letters, not PlayStation glyphs. I don't really want to spend $80 on a controller but I'm not sure a cheaper 3rd party model or a PS4 controller will be properly recognized and not just be emulating again.

Options?

Weird. I'm using my Playstation 5 controller and it's showing PS controller icons.

It only works with PS5 controllers. It won’t work with ps4 or older ones.

You don't need a mod, just disable steam input for the game.
