Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a $99 cash grab disguised as art, with a 30-hour “story” padded by fetch quests, combat ripped from budget mobile games and “UE5 visuals” that crash more than they impress. The “emotional” plot is ChatGPT tier slop (dead parents, amnesia, and a “twist” so lazy it invalidates the entire game), while promised “Soulslike depth” is just repetitive enemies and broken parry mechanics. Even the “post-game” is a barren grind for reskinned gear, and the “haunting soundtrack” recycles the same three tracks. Charging AAA prices for this unplayable mess isn’t ambition it’s fraud.
