It would be nice to hear from the devs...
No update in more than two weeks, no acknowledgement of the various issues people have (and even though I have played the game twice without a single crash, enough people *have* issues), no comment about the resounding success of Clair Obscur. Are they all in shock? Ran out of internet? Under a gag order? It would be nice to at least be told "we hear your issues, we're working on it".

It's a tiny 30 ppl studio, it's not surprising it takes them time to do anything, when compared to monoliths like EA or Ubislop, which hire tens of thousands of ppl. I would look to twitter and other social media if you want to know what's up, i know for example they released yesterday pre-orders for collector's edition for the game, or maybe discord if the game has one, not sure about that.

They did say they are working on fixes and looking into community requested features, but naturally they are also not a huge studio so takes time.

I don't have social media. It's nice to know they are active there, but ... promoting merch and not informing about planned patches is not a good look, either.

They post news and updates on social networks. They've just had a big party to celebrate the success of the game. I think they all want to take some rest before anything important like a big update.

Merch does not involve Software Developers etc, so promoting merch does not stop them from also working on fixes. And I never encountered any bugs either - this does not mean there aren't any, but it might be, that they are hard to reproduce, take time to fix etc.

Maybe the only update they could post would be: "We are working on it" - and it seems this is what they did.

How can you not have any social media in 2025 lol... If you are living under the rock then don't blame anyone you don't know what's happening :D

Probably taking a well deserved vacation on some obscur (shaddy) location with a very clair (bright) sky, since the game has no major issue, no need to rush for a patch or whatever.

When job well done, there is no issue to be address in emergency. It may come to a shock, but that's how it's supposed to be, they aren't supposed to work after work is done.
Now for the few issue, they'll fix it when time will come. Not really seeing which one as a experience none and don't see lot of complains about bugs/crash/perfs if at all.

they interact directly on Reddit. a warming message for redditers saying they really enjoy all the support.

you'll never see them here because STEAM forums are pure garbage.

Look at Reddit if you want some interaction. Steam is a sloppy jester farm fest now. Unsurprisingly they do not interact here.

The game is complete. Yes, we are in a time of patches and whatnot, but the game works very well. Back in the day, games couldn't be patched and were released as is. We are now in an age where everyone demands patches even if there are minor quibbles with some of the mechanics. Their game works and and works well, let them take a break and enjoy it. It's not a perfect game, but it's bugs are far from game-breaking and I barely notice them myself.

Absolutely, these forums are *bad*. But some official announcement would have been nice. I hope the people on reddit are kinder than those here.
