The painting workshops stay 'Dangerous' for quite some time.
There's just so many later areas, so one tip is to explore as many as you can, kill the easier trash enemies, collect everything you can and get upgraded weapons as drops, then focus on the bosses after. It's pretty crazy how killing trash in a super late area can make bosses in earlier areas very easy.
Endless Tower gets quite tough at the later stages but should be doable at that point. Flying Mansion is on par with that but shorter.
Renoir's Draft is by far the most difficult area with the hardest boss in the game so i would suggest do that last when you are at least in the 90s with your levels.
Sprong isn't too hard, you should be able to take this thing down. It's moves are fairly easy to figure out. Serpenphare will be significantly easier with the Pictos you get from beating Sprong.
Flying Mansion and Renoir's drafts should probably be done last. Endless Tower is a bit tougher on the end stages, but can be done before those two. (I honestly did Flying Mansion first, then Endless Tower, and preparing for drafts.)
Dark gestral arena you should probably be in the 60s for. Yet that can probably be done first once you can go past the damage cap and did Frozen Hearts.
- Sprong, should be very easy now that you have Painted Power, just get him out of the way first so that you can act twice every turn
- Dark Gestral Arena (you have to fight Golgra though, and you only get one shot, if you lose she destroys the arena)
- The Chosen Path (solo fights for all 5 characters, might be difficult if you haven't developed everyone equally, Sunless Cliffs is another area like this)
- Endless Night Sanctuary (basically Ancient Sanctuary round 2, you fight the same enemies and the boss but they're high level)
- Serpenphare (not too hard, but it explodes halfway through the fight and the timing is tricky and it will one shot if missed, no matter your defense, I believe)
- Flying Manor (long and difficult)
- Endless Tower (you can do the first half earlier but up to you, the last few trials are very difficult)
- Renoir's Drafts (hardest content in the game bar none, but it's a pretty short area surprisingly)
Sunless cliffs was a fun zone. Just because that fight is the same predictable pattern you've seen before but there's basically no margin for error. You can use the picto around a pretty good shield build in your group (or get really good at parrying!), but that one just felt like winning the fight was its own reward.
Sunless cliffs helped me figure out how to properly use Sciel and Verso. Took me like an hour to finish with everyone. It was a lot of fun. Rage inducing, but fun.
The final fight in the Dark Arena, even at 89 is still a solo battle that requires good parrying/doding to win. You aren't winning it unless you time things properly.
Truth be told, if you're Maelle, once you have gommage, every fight is just a race against time until she has virtouse stance, gommage and then stendhal which will end all but the hardest fights in one if not two punches.
Might use Cheater for Simon if he's as tough as thry say. Maybe.
