Character can't run straight sometimes

I am experiencing a strange thing, where the character is not able to run straight forward sometimes. They are only able to walk in normal speed. When I turn the camera slightly to the left or right, running is possible, but you are not able to see where you are going. Kind of annoying.

It seems to appear only in some areas and persists even when I restart the game.

Anybody else experiencing this?

I had the same problem.

Go into your steam settings for your controller. Click on the controller layout, click into the joystick settings by clicking the joystick bottom left.

Click the gear icon next to the joystick setting.

Set stick response Curve to aggressive.

The game has a hard time with some controller's stick inputs but this fixed it for me (and according to the internet 99% of other people)
