Imajica influence?

Last year I read a book by Clive Barker called Imajica. In the book, the main character meets and kills a creature called a nullianac. The nullianac is described as humanoid with a head that resembles two hands clasped as if in prayer. When the hands separate an electrical energy forms between them.

I was just wondering if this was the inspiration for the Noir creatures in E33?
