Dear Devs, I hope you read this. (feedback)
This game is a 10/10, I have rarely if ever seen a game that excels in every aspect that it is made out of. I'm at the end, took a break for a week now because i don't want it to end yet.

But the thing I wanted to ask is : Will you consider putting in a slider for the dodge system like you did for the qta's when using your skill ?

I ask you this, because most of the negative reviews are people that don't like that system and I think this is an easy fix for more people to enjoy it in the future.

I myself am perfectly fine with the systems you built and used here, but I'm saying this for you guys, because you delivered someting monumental here , you should be proud of yourselves!

I'd also love it if the reviews go back upt to 96 percent, because that is where this game belongs.

I don't need no awards or anything, but this post would benefit from +1 's hoping the devs get to see this so more people can enjoy it in the future.

Thank you.

The game is already headed towards 96-97 since nearly every day's % is around that. Just gonna take a while to counter all the non-English reviews that were oddly negative.

its a 7/10 at best but ok
The negative reviews were the main reason I bought the game.
It seemed to be slightly mismarketed. They weren't clear enough about how many souls-like elements were in the game.

I can understand that sentiment

Sure man, that's fine, we appreciate it differently

this isn't how this works, I don't want this myself, you can instead mod the game so sandfall doesn't have to be responsible for you not liking some part of their creative output. Like, fix your own problem. ^^''

Myself, am happy to have the experience Sandfall delivered, things I like less (there are very few) included.

Assuming that the 4% that reviewed the game negatively are all because of dodge timings, they still knocked it out of the park, they don't need to go get that 4%, they can keep their creative freedom and deliver the experience they want to deliver.

That's how we got this game in the first place. :P

Agreed. The dodge system pretty much leaves out the over 50 crowd, and those are the ones who would most be interested in the intelligent story and writing.

I'm 62 and I had to install a double exp mod just so I could play through and not get discouraged.

You resolved your problem yourself, bravo!
I'm 40 years old, reacting snappily isn't my forte anymore either, but that is approaching the game wrong. Every enemy has a "rhythm", and they only have a couple of attacks, instead of focusing on reacting, focus on learning these patterns/rhythm. "Oh, X enemy doing Y attack! it's Slow-Slow-Fast-Slow-Very Slow-Very Slow"~

At 40 years old, I still feel snappy enough and I am capable enough to understand nuanced storytelling. I think this game is made by for people like me.

I get it, but many of my friends are completely put off by the system and won't even try it.

We're asking for an OPTION. Arguing against this simply makes you sound immature.

You have an option, and like, you don't have lessons to give me about maturity when you're 60 years old and getting angry at a dude who disagrees with you on the internet. :P

This game literally has a story mode, so I'm not sure what you're waffling about.
Are you seriously asking the devs to make the game even easier because of bad reviews?
Crafty new take this is.

I'm over 50 and am having a blast, dodges & parries included. Stop projecting.

Kinda nasty the dude is implying you can't enjoy a good narrative under 50 too
I really have to wonder about people complaining about requesting accessibility options.
MrQun May 23 @ 5:44pm
I see the usual Elitists gamers trying to gatekeep the forums. All OP is requesting (not demanding) is an OPTIONAL slider for the dodge/ parry system which I think is fair enough.

Personally what baffles me a little bit is the lack of Pictos that enhances dodges and parries. Unless I missed them, the Dodger Picto is only Picto that affect dodges, which grants 1 AP after a perfect dodge once per turn. There are some Pictos that affect parries, but those only grant AP or increase counter damage. But there is no Picto that increases the window of performing dodges/ parries.

For a game that places great importance on dodging/ parrying, you'd think that there be a lot more Pictos that enhances those abilities other than just damage and AP gains. That is my main issue with the game.

I would like to see more options to enhance dodges and parries even if it comes with some kind of drawback.

Example: Dodge/ parry window increases by 30%, but counter damage is reduced by 30%. Having more build options would be greatly appreciated.
