They are calling it the "deprofessionalization" of the Gaming Industry
Go on and type that sentence in your favorite browser and see what you get.
A wall of articles from several sources and with the same title, trying to discredit small indie productions as if it were their fault for big studios copy&paste flops.

You can tell they're feeling the pressure now and in a move typical of marketing strategies, they've mobilized an army of meat puppets on several sites to try to somehow Influence people in suddenly believing that despite the fact that they haven't been able to put out a product that went viral within days in years, we should really "trust the experts"?

As someone else commented on a YT video (by Legendary Drops) this is not 'deprofessionalization' but 'decorporatization' of the gaming industry. Oh, wouldn't that be nice.

When they resort to this kind of vilifying and hollow 'strategies', believing we're just a bunch of drones unable to discern between quality and disgraceful trash, you know they're clenching their bottom cheeks, finally scared about their jobs.

If you, big studio, can't compete with solo devs and small studios, then you should consider a change of career instead of trying these low blows sleight of hands.
Do look up for your nearest unemployment office. Plenty of room at the bottom, where you belong.

Good advice. I'll tell Steam I no longer intend to buy games, so please just give em to me. It's for political reasons so would you be so kind as to just comply. Thanks.

I almost agree. As for playing games you don't own, legally I only know about passes that let you play games without buying.
The era of modified consoles to play pirated games is pretty far behind us. Isn't it?

To gain traction you have to shorten the text on detailed topics since people dont like to read much, if its a simple topic like "wokeness" or a bad game then you can make it longer, important is that the title takes the attention and he associates it with the feeling of 2 choices

I heard that before in a movie. Christian Bale was in it. American Psycho. I think it worked for him in the end.

I just made a post about something I think should be of concern for us. But most people are uninterested about the stick that holds the carrot. They just wanna eat that carrot.

2 Choices you had here, either say "Wokeness has ruined....." or "Diversity has perfected....." either you talk about how diversity puts pressure on games to make better games, or how woekness makes games worse

The bloat is from having corporate people demanding changes to games mid-production or be changed close to release because of some new system or mechanic they want to take advantage of or bought the rights to.

With game development it always comes down to more time or more money and publishers were more than willing to go with the more money camp while interest rates were low and borrowed debt was nothing to worry about.

So you had a lot of studios expand specifically to meet the demands of publishers - now those same publishers are seeing what small studios can do they're wanting to cut back the bloat and cut back the expenses but will without fail fall into the same problems again and start demanding more and throwing more money at the problem.

Yes, that's pretty much it, and part of why they are panicking.

I honestly believe it would be better for them all to just fail, like the big media industry after the advent of 'better products' in alternative settings, on the internet of course.
Once they're out of the way, we would have some real competition, but this time it wouldn't be a race to the bottom.
