Is there a way to make dodge queue sounds louder? (Somewhat Solved)
Edit: I found a mod which modifies the frame-timing of dodging and parrying. It has multiple variants to fine tune it and I lucked out and found a variant that made things more akin to souls likes with their slightly larger timing windows and contact based systems. I am honestly enjoying that more now because that segment of dodging is still risky, but not frustratingly brutal/stressful.

I know the game isn't contact based for it's dodging and more sound based (which is fine, I don't prefer it but I don't mind it when done right either). But, some enemies have such quiet sound queues that I either have to save scum to build up muscle memory or have to turn down all the other sound options just to hear them. I would prefer not to do the latter as I enjoy the music and sound effects quite a bit. So, is there a mod out there to make the sounds a bit more pronounced? Also, if the devs get this, would you guys be able to add that in?

Also, can someone clarify when I am supposed to dodge? As in, are all enemies consistant with how their queues work? I know there's a "SCHWEEEeeeewww" noise to tell you when to act. But, do I dodge on the "SCHEEE", in between at the "EEEE", or more towards the "eeewww" moment? I'm pretty consistent with parries now and I feel like it's in the "eewww" zone for those, but I am unsure if I'm misinterpreting my timing of these millisecond windows and my millisecond brain interpretation/motor skill delays/keyboard input delays lol. What I wanted to know about the consistency is that some attacks feel like they want you to dodge right at the ending "eewww" noise, or maybe right after? I can't tell, the timing, to me, is hellishly tight as is so I've been working off of the "eewww".

Thanks in advance, and I hope my sound analogy suffices haha. Didn't know how to describe the wooshy-shwing noises.

I don't have an answer for you but all your typed out sound effects are awesome haha

I haven’t actually noticed the sound pattern but I’ll look out for it. I usually use visual cues and then timing. Each enemy I’ve bumped into -which isn’t many so far- seems to have its own pattern. I seem to recall the mines having some manner of hiiiiiiEEE-YAAA! but not before every attack.

Oh! Yeah their whole system, to me at least, is primarily based on sound queues.

Here's a good vid on it if you're curious :)

Will check it out.

Thinking about it, I think do use something of a mental beat track to time my dodging, or use the tempo of the music in the fight. If I can keep a 4/4 time signature in my head, I can sus out where the dodges need to be relative to the count.
