The Monolith Quagmire
Good GOD. The Monolith zone is an absolute slog! It's flipping huuuuge, and the fights have the most annoying mobs in the entire game. Well, maybe not as annoying as the bouncy git by the coastal cave, or the chromatic jobby that attacks endlessly unless you parry. I feel that the length of this zone was just a bit silly, I understand the point of it, but that point could have been brought across in half the time or with an opportunity to camp in between. As it stands, I exited halfway to level up my weapons and return, which seemed rather immersion breaking.

I mean, its literally the pseudo conclusion of the story. What did you expect? I didn't personally feel the need to level anything during it. I was just vibing and managed to complete it with a pretty mid setup. Its about the journey after all.

I actually really liked the Monolith as a "final" dungeon. With the mix of all the different world environments and climates in one location, it felt like going through a condensed version of your journey up to that point.
Its long but it did not exceed its welcome, at least for me.

Pretty funny considering they give the ability to access camp ♥♥♥♥ without actually camping afterwards.

Hmm, maybe you missed a bunch of traders and optional stuff? By the time I was midway I had so much loot that the urge to go level up weapons and colour of lumina was extreme. On my way up I cleaned out the traders I found, and since the game craps currency on you I wasn't anywhere near broke.
