Plotthole ? Chapter 2 spoilers
I am in the monolith in chapter 2..... it was my understanding that no other expedition made it in the monolith before 33.... how did they get past the chroma barrier? Verso himself says no other expedition got this far and defeated the axioms. soooooo.....

1. why are there expedition bodies in the monolith? ok maybe the monolith is some form of illsion of other places outside but...

2. why is there journal 70 in the monolith that specifically says "installing the grappling hooks in the monolith was the hardest and these are the last ..."

... maybe theres an explanation down the line

Not entirely sure but don't they specifically say right away that Expedition 0 were the first to make it? Also, I don't think it is said anywhere exactly when the barrier was placed there. I know there was one journal mentioning it near some gliders, so that can give another Year to consider.

No expedition made it back except for 0, but some did reach it (and more) Expedition 60 journal talk about it (you'll only find it later in the game so it's slightly spoiler) they made it through in an .. unexpected way let's say. but this is the funniest journal :D

by that point you should also have seen another axion already killed (in old lumiere, from the world map) so verso is kinda wrong there.

can't say too much without spoiling since you are only at chapter 2

There are other teams that actually made it. One of them had a funny way of pushing through the barrier.

although if you are looking for plot hole, the expedition journal who died from eating poisonous mushroom is one, since by this point it's already established that people turn into chroma statue when they are killed by Nevron (Lune theory pretty early in the game), but not when they die from other causes. and those mushroom are not nevron, yet you find their body in statue mode.

My best guess is the barrier didn't exist until after year 70, though we at least know it was in place before year 60.

Maybe 70 were the first to make it to the monolith and the barrier was constructed in response?

If you collect the journals youll get the answer. and its a 5X5 workout plan.

Lift heavy object and put them back down. squat, dead lift, bench, bent over rows.

get swoll

"and those mushroom are not nevron" - why do you think this?

This situation simply proves that nevrons are mushrooms. Who would have thought. If nevrons kill you you get infected and your body does something new after dying. Sounds similar to a certain popular movie. Only them becoming new nevrons is missing or one bite being enough to take control over your body.

Yeah good point I was thinking about them but didn't mention it... don't remember if he was the only one from the expedition but at least he wouldn't have been seen as a threat the way expedition 70 was.

Nah I'm saying is that There was a barrier placed considering Simon had to kill an Axon then proceeded into the monolith
