Another Potential Theme? (All Spoilers)

One thing I've realized that repeats a lot through the entire game is the fact that so many things only have one eye. Or they are wearing a mask. And what do these share similarities to? Real and Painted Alicia. I think Verso even implies that Renoir may actually like Alicia the most out of all 3 children. And this is especially true for the 3 Axons.

And another thing: Renoir and Verso both have a scar over their eyes. I don't think they were ever fully explained. Yet another example of this theme. Perhaps they both are drawn to Alicia and want to feel her pain.
