Dodge Parry: Expedition 33

If a few content providers like a game the most in the gaming community will say they like it too. If those same content providers do not like a game, the community will also dislike the game.

This game is fun, but it's not the best game ever made, like some are proclaiming.

It's definitely not the best game ever made... But it is one of the best JRPGS made in the last decade...

Also it's fully possible to beat this game without dodge or parry...
its turn based RPG that can be turned trivial if you learn timing of parries. Game is great because of other things.

Really, I think at the higher levels, if you do not have at least dodge down, you will not be able to progress in the game.

True, it's been confirmed possible to beat without dodge/parry on story, and I believe normal is possible too.

Expert is definitely not though...

I think it's the opposite, you need it more in the beginning (or you play story mode or put all points in vitality). Early into act 2 I got so strong, without maelle, normal enemies never got to take their turn, only bosses got 1, sometimes 2 turns. If you stack pictos on one character the game becomes super easy rather quickly. You also get so many revives and most enemies only hit one, not all members of the party.
