Given the success of the game I say it's not entirely impossible for a "Director's Cut" to eventually be released, with more languages added. But only Sandfall will know the answer to that.
That is true
Dragon Quest XI didn't originally have Japanese voice acting, but the international releases featured it for other languages. I think the reason they gave for this was because they originally weren't going to include it at all, but then they thought the feature might be considered "expected" by the international audience.
So Japanese voice acting wasn't added until the Switch port version a bit later, and it never came to other platforms until THAT ported version version was then ported to other platforms as the definitive edition.
