Fix Simon
This boss is bs. After three hours of attempts and finally figuring out a build that gets him to around 30/40% HP on his second phase, I find out he has a move where he just deletes your party and its impossible to dodge it. What the f*ck???

Also I'm pretty sure he's bugged. Despite having a few turns in a row if his speed exceeds the team, he never acts twice on these turns (besides deleting dead bodies or draining a party member's HP to 1, which he always does every round as a "bonus move"). There has been at least three attempts where I stunned him and then on his next round, the one where he recovers from the stun, he acted immediatelly. I think its a bug because in other times it was just a normal "get out of stun" round, meaning it was skipped (although he still does the bonus moves which is also idiotic).

I get superbosses being ridiculous in these kinds of games, I'm not new to JRPGs (this one isn't japanese but you know what I mean), but this is a bit much. I'm even fine with his phase 2 moves being pure insanity because after three hours I was starting to get the hang of it, but a literal instant game over that is unavoidable???? Be so serious right now, the only way to circumvent that is to either keep the party alive until then so that the other two can hopefully take care of the rest or just stack as many buffs as possible to one-hit the remainder of his health before he triggers the move.

Its stupid, this is like pre-nerf Radahn prime if he snorted 50 lines of coke. And for reference, yes, I know he's supposed to be the hardest boss, my entire team is around level 92-95. Even so, he one-shots everyone besides Monoco and Verso (and they can only take two or three hits).

when he wipes your party in the 2nd phase you are suppose to use your reserve team
Andolt May 12 @ 8:11pm
It's optional boss, so it could be that hard. I think that it was designed the way to one shot 2nd pahse or something like that. Not the best way to do it, but never the less. It's optional so they can make the hardest boss ever existed))
P.S. For me it's much MUCH harder than Radan(and i killed him beffore the patch). But to be honest on Radan i spend almost 5 hours and on Simon around 40 minutes. So it's duable

I'm screwed then, because Monoco is great but not matter how I build Verso, I feel like he doesn't do anything. All of his moves consist of "hit enemy 5/10 times while doing very little damage", and that's considering I'm using his sword that gets him to S rank as soon as the battle starts.

I don't think a boss that is "designed to be one-shot" is balanced, and I don't think he was designed that way, otherwise they wouldn't have given him such a varied moveset. I just think he needs some tweaks, at least fix the bugged stun part.

Hard agree with the stun, should not be able to steal health and shields whilst stunned.

sad boss fight and not enjoyable at all imo

its actually a rly bad boss. even ff8 ultimecia had a way to battle wit ur preferred team...
He has just 4 attacks. Yes, they are tricky to parry, but since you are already getting comfortable with them, you are almost there. The difference between phases is minimal, since the ghost sword has the same timing in every attack. I pushed him to phase 3 with solo Lune, and then the rest of the team finished him off.

Not new to JRPG either and I beat every SoulsBorneKiro games at ng 5 at least and Simon is something else.
He's like those challenge runs people do. Like try not get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hit while beating Sekiro.
He's astronomically not feasible for most people playing and I hate stacking every damage in the game as the answer.

I can ignore all the other stuff but he gommages you which can completely kill the run and if you somehow live he still thanos snaps your main team? Yeah ♥♥♥♥ simon

i tried to kill it "normally" a bit to hard, i just one shoot him on a one vs one duel

Try using Corpeso on him, and then equip him with every base attack and free shot lumina you can. Here, I'll even give you a list (don't forget painted power)
marking shot
double mark
stay marked
burning mark
burning shots
energizing shots
energy master
energizing burn
rewarding mark
sniper
burn affinity
combo attack I II and III
critical burn
double burn
longer burn

honorable mentions:
augmented first strike
breaking shots
augmented aim
augmented attack
empowering attack
exposing attack
first offensive
glass canon
staggering attack
warming up
versatile

and of course, second chance + cheater

This doesn't sound too bad. It's nothing compared to Yiazmat of Final Fantasy XII that took me 8 hours to kill, yes, one attempt took 8 hours straight through to get his health to 0 and he could randomly one shot a party member at any time. Preparation and grinding for the fight took 2 months alone. Then there was Absolute Virtue in Final Fantasy XI that could take up to 30 hours to kill.

Yup, a boss fight that takes as long as it takes to complete the average JRPG start to finish. It wasn't until 6 years after the game's released that someone finally beat Absolute Virtue. I only managed to beat it after the nerf. Ozma in Final Fantasy IX and the Emerald weapon in VII were nightmares too but I was hoping there'd be a fight like that in this game. This doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as those though.

I've defeated Yiazmat, and while I also think he sucks as a boss, he's not as hard, he just takes long, but with the right preparation, its doable. Try Simon when you have the chance, it seems you haven't faced him yet.

You're right, they should probably fix him by at least double his HP in NG already, too little HP for being the last hidden boss.

I absolutely love this UNO card when the whole party is removed. I was like wtf devs aaa my ass burns))

Btw he does not remove dead body from canvas each bonus move. To my experience, if you have a party member with full hp and 1 dead, he will always use reduce to 1 hp move.

But the boss is amazing. It actually gave me some challenge because dealing 8-9M dmg each Lunas turn is fun, but makes game kinda ez. This boss r**ed my ass like for hour or two and that’s cool
