Autosave is broken?

I go somewhere. Game saves.
I rest at a flag. Game saves.
I pick up items. Game saves.
I leave the area. Game saves.
I enter another area. Game saves.
Some event triggers. Game saves.

I want to reload just before the event to see the other options.
I open the "recent saves" menu.
Save 1: few seconds old
Save 2: exactly the same as the first (???)
Save 3: 10min ago

Where did all those in-between saves of the past 10min go?

I even manually checked the game actually saved at specific points, there was the save in the recent saves list, but 5min later the save is gone.

If the game isn't going to let you manually save, least it could do is not delete autosaves randomly...

The parry window for saves is extremely tight. And just so you know, the game doesn't always save after battling mobs on the continent, and there's some difficult ones that can reset a lot of effort if you're not careful.

go into your menu, pick a character, switch their weapon and switch it back. manual save achieved
