[SPOILER WARNING] Subtle nod to Chrono Trigger?

Ok, maybe this is far fetched, but: at the end of act 2, when the expedition survivors are greeted back to Lumiere, with celebrations going on the pIer, the muffed seaguls sounds along with the fireworks totally reminded me of the iconic opening scene of Chrono Trigger.
That would be awesome if it was indeed intentional! XD
