Laptop over heats from the game
Didn't have this trouble with other games in my library, but if I play for about an hour or so my laptop shutdown due to being too hot.
I tried to set the setting to potato settings, but that only helped in the qte stuff.

Time to clean up your fans system and repaste your CPU & GPU. I have to do it almost every year or so. Last time I did it -5 Celcius on my CPU & -10 Celsius on my GPU with BG3 max settings (because I got a lot of dust clogging my fans fins). You may also have another problem because usually laptop start to do clock throttling (basically reducing CPU and GPU clock speeds) to avoid shutdown.

Not all games uses CPU & GPU the same way. Some of them may use it more and some less. UE5 games like this game are usually quite demanding on both.

Alright
I will try these things. The memory leak is not helping either

This game stresses your GPU quiet a lot. My RTX 2080 was basically the whole playthrough on the thermal limit of 85 degree celsius. And that was in a normal big desktop case.
Add to that the small confined space of a laptop with not much cooling going on and it can overheat quiet fast.
Sadly a big downside of Unreal Engine 5 which the game uses, it can really bog down your GPU.
it's UE5 bro, you could bake an eggs with the temp
Well, it's you laptop's problem specifically.
