Why there are a lot of negative Chinese reviews
I saw Raxx video on the game and decide to look it up.

One of the reviews was this

If you check reviews in your language, you will find that the game stands at a 97% positive score. Apparently 66% of negative reviews are posted in Chinese. Make of that information what you will.

The game as a whole is really good, they trimmed most of the fat that made me bounce of the Persona series, and improved upon the combat. Believe the hype.

This intrigue me so I went and look at the negative Chinese reviews.

Base on the first of page of reivews, the negative reviews are not about the "technical aspects" of the game, interface, art, combat system, music which received praise. As one of the reviews basically said, its all very very good.

The complaints are about the story.

I would describe the problem with the story is that it is not Nezha,
In the current revisionist version of Chinese Nezha movies (both 1 and 2), the determination to choose one's circumstances yields some measure of success.
The story in the game apparently runs counter to this theme.

So yeah, the story is not a Nezha story and its triggers fans of those type of stories.

apparently the chinese don't like sad stories

which is surprising since they are literally living in a sad dystopia
Some of them think that Verso stole Gustave's girls, so it's NTR/cuckoldry. No really, that's what these people say, they're completely cooked.

- 100 points on your social credit score, therefore from now on you've to resort to donkeys for transportation, any public transportation has been locked for you.

you can revert this by buying some diapers or any other family related goods, resorting to exemplary public behavior, as to positive online behavior, this will bring you back into the green.

And the only logical conclusion from this is that they skipped the reveal trailer, for it was clearly sad.

First it's some kind of headcanon they come up with, then they feel betrayed that their headcanon is destroyed, but not really because there is really was nothing of this sort. Lol, that's hard to comprehend

Pretty sure it was Gustave ending in Act 1, because the large negative review drops happened after a couple days. Unless you truly rushed, it would take anyone a couple days to see it if you played every day.
