english va quality
Played in french first playthrou cuz i thought it was the original intended. doing english on second run now and i noticed some of the recordings arent mixed properly. best example of this is when using overcharge on gustave at 10 charges and he says "for those who comes after". the delivery of that line is kinda ass and the audio is too raw. i'm not saying its the actors fault, is more on the sound guys to make sure the playback sounds good and to ask him to redo the delivery if the pitch is off.

im just surprised this slipped throu on a line thats played so often and early in the game on whats supposed to be the "main" language of the game. the french va was smooth af and perfectly mixed with all the other sounds that can go on in the background. And i dont know french so all i did was feel the lines while reading the subs

So french isn't the original and intendend dub? i'm also playing in french because i thought so

the lip synch is made for english. if ur already playing on french then u should stick to it, as i have heard both now i can tell u that the french one sounds and feels better and ofc fits the theme and world better.
The game was made to be in English, French is just a dub.

I felt the delivery was fine, but the volume on that line was like 2 notches louder than it should have been.

I don't have any such sound issues and im playing on english purely for Maelle's voice actress.
That specific line of Gustave's sounds cool as ♥♥♥♥ accompanying that attack. Maybe I am missing the quality issue because I am lost in the moment, but that is awesome how it all comes together, and such a badass thing as he blasts whomever into oblivion.

this is probably it. it doesnt integrate with the music and the attack sound effects, it overwrites it.

Except when you go against a lightning immune enemy and end up healing it with 10000+ health.

I also feel that some of Gustave lines were not properly tuned. I wonder if one day they'll address this, as it feels there's a bit of a story behind it.
