Report a translation problem
The jumping puzzles are bad everywhere in this game, I agree. However, this one is much easier than it appears at first. Also remember that you can change your roll-direction.
It's not a big level, you only have to reach the shadow boy from all of the three paintings in the world and receive 3 items by telling him you're helping.
After that, you have to continue in one painting until you reach the flag, it's not much further from the boy. I assume any of the three paintings will do, personally I used the one closest to Lumiere. Then one bossfight and you're already done.
So unless there is some huge advantage, I'll let the paintings aside.

There do be a lampmaster boss battle.
