That's all good. This genre of video game has always been a kind of niche genre. There's not a whole lot with these types of games. It is why the genre died so many years ago. The JRPG formula is a dead-end.

Truly, this game plays exactly like the JRPG's of old. EXACTLY. Down to the last detail. When I sat down to play this game I expected exactly what I got, and I got it. This game delivers on 100% of the JRPG promise.

If this game doesn't suit you, then my recommendation is to never play another JRPG ever again. Because they are ALL going to be like this.

If you aren't interested in big-number-go-up and the endless grinding it takes to make that happen, this type of game(genre) is not for you, never was, never will be.

It is good you are discovering your likes and dislikes. There's much more of that headed your way throughout the course of your life. Prepare yourself.

It has been a very long time since we had a competent game that followed the old JRPG formula. I am incredibly grateful for this game. I used to play all of the JRPG's. But one day they just stopped getting made.

Yes, there are a few that have released over the years. But NONE OF THEM were even close to what we used to have.

And I absolutely love how they included ways to circumvent the uniqueness of this game's systems. They got that parry mechanic the hardcore JRPG fans hate so much. But they also included into the game a way of playing your party like the classic trinity party. Although, without a taunt system, it is more like DD-DD-healer, rather than DD-tank-healer.

This game goes right to the top for me. This game places itself among the JRPG greats. Whether you like it personally or not, this is one of the best of the best. That is an objective truth by the way.
