Question about "In Medias Res" Picto
I noticed as a Picto, you can heal the "half health" downside away, but as a Lumina, you can't. Is this intended? I'm not sure why it would work this way, quite honestly.

Interesting. I didn't notice that, even though I used the picto a lot.
Did you ever use it as a Lumina though? You didn't notice the half health doesn't heal?

I think it's just bugged tbh.

While I was still using it, characters were constantly showing up covered in blood as though low hp, and the char screen and overview screens would show you at 50% hp, even though you're at full health, your max is just reduced.

My max health isn't reduced when I use it as a Picto though; that's what I was saying. I have half of my max health at the start of combat, but I can heal back to full health so that the picto has 0 downsides. However, when I use it as a Lumina it DOES cap my max health to half.

Fair enough, maybe that was why it only seemed to happen on some characters. I just never connected it to the one that had it equipped.

Either way, it's still bugged.

It seems like just a visual bug.

Lune has picto equipped while Monoco and Maelle have lumina. When Lune gets a turn it shows that she has 1/2 of the bar, so max is displayed instantly, when Monoco and Maelle get a turn it keeps displaying reduced health but if you heal either by killing enemy and using restore 50% hp on kill lumina or by using a healing tint max hp is restored.

Edit: or well, maybe the bug is that max hp isn't actually reduced in neither of those cases. I like it this way. Sacrificing 50% max hp for just 3 hits seems too much, but sacrificing just 50% hp instead (and all extra damage which you may get at max hp) feels worth it for me.

I have half of my max health at the start of combat, but I can heal back to full health so that the picto has 0 downsides.
The downside is there is another lumina which gives increased damage when you are at full hp, so you sacrifice that damage until you heal your hp back. And during the first turn damage may be important.

I tried to test things by removing the Picto and putting it back and now I can't heal to full health anymore, the health is just capped...so I think I was bugged and I just screwed myself?

Strange. Tried to unequip and equip it again to Lune, display stopped switching to half hp (like in 3rd screenshot) when she gets her turn but she is still able to heal to max. Switched picto to lumina and it still lets me heal to max in the battle. I am testing on easy battle where I one-shot the enemy and get 50% hp restored. I also tried testing with healing tint, both work.

It's probably visual bugs mostly. I have a picto which reduces max HP to 1 and sometimes it shows 1/1 but sometimes when you are already at 1 HP before battle starts - you can have something like 1/3000 but you'll still get benefits of pictos which give increased attack when you are at *full* health and not the one which gives increased attack when you are at low health.
