FPS drops and stutter after update?

Noticed that my game is running a lot slower after the most recent update, unsure proper fix. running NVIDIA drivers and tried reverting to a previous one without any luck. computer is a few years old now but was running the game relatively well on medium settings for a few weeks and am around the old lumiere story wise. saved out at a flag without issues before update. it seems to now stutter or drop a series of frames as I move, and it makes dodge near impossible. have tried setting graphics to minimum and problem still persists. aside from waiting for a patch that hopefully addresses this, has anyone seen/fixed this as well?

iv found a note that there might be some issues associated with a specific sword, but I do not have it or at lest do not have it equipped.
