Anyone else skip the beaches?
You know what I'm talking about. :) To me, they're too hard and this is not a platformer.

A couple are actually very easy. But most are definitely a bit tricky.

The race one took 2 whole tries, mainly since the physics can be a bit wonky.

Honestly, the only really annoying one is the volleyball game and luckily you only need to finish on "normal" for the achievement because F the hardest stage.

Only the 3rd stage of the volleyball. ♥♥♥♥ that one lol
Nope. Did them all. Beat all. ♥♥♥♥ that last volley ball though.
I had fun with the others and the tower climb (it reminded me of the Costa Del Sol tower event in FF14 if anyone has ever done that). But that volleyball game was a big nope to me lol

I spent almost 3 hours to beat sprong (I was around level 40) so the beach games are jokes in comparison(to me)

Nah, I did all of them because they were the easiest part of the game. Even the volleyball one only took me 3 tries.
I only did like the 1st or 2nd stage for them since those are easier to finish and the rewards are ok, usually either lumina points or weapon upgrade mats. But I didn't go for the "hardest" difficulties of any of them or complete some of them all together because I just didn't like some of the challenges.

The two that really stick out to me are the ones similar to Chained Together where you have to platform your way up this massive tower of random objects and the hardest setting of the Raft Volleyball.

The first one I mentioned I skipped because I hate those kinds of rage bait platforming type games and is the reason I'm playing a turn based story driven RPG and not playing Getting Over It or Golfing Over It.

The second one I mentioned I skipped because the timing and controls are just awful and the cosmetic reward isn't worth it for the level of janky difficulty.

Well, there are platforms, which by extension makes it a platformer.

Hard skip.

i'm generally on board with side quest content with minigames... but it just doesnt feel good on your first play through. you want to do rpg things in your rpg game. the fact that they are pretty much entirely ignorable doesnt help them much?
if i'm bored i might go finish them later. i'm not a trophy hunter, those stupid achievements dont mean much.
beating simon though? that was a VERY fulfilling sigh of relief

Yeah I didn't find the volleyball one all that hard, only took me like 10-15 minutes to finish them all.

Maybe it's because I grew up on the 90s and early 00s RPGs that always had a ton of side content to do, but I love the silly minigames. I always did all the side content like Final Fantasy chocobo racing, FFX Blitzball, Tales casinos, etc.
Skipped all of them. Get your platforming challenge out of my JRPG with clunky controls, thank you.
