Cant anyone playing this disassociate the graphics and story from the game that they are ACTUALLY playing? the core of the gameplay is an ambiguous QTE where the remainder is determining how long you feel like playing each "fight" for.

This is not what turn-based focused game design has ever before implied or delivered.

Instead of strategy or creativity, this game is on par with teaching a toddler how to learn shapes, but where they all lazily fit into the square hole.

"Git Gud" defenders????

"Git real". This game is rated for 5 and under; how could anyone older not have the self-respect to acknowledge what they are actually spending their limited time doing.

GOTY ???

The "G" in GOTY stands for GAME, where this is, at best, a visual novel that comes with a popup that requires you to "press X to continue" every 2 seconds for 30 hours.

I so wanted to buy what this game pretends to be.

Why did I write this? Because I don't want any further self-stupification for games.

Do you?

Username checks out.
It's an active-turn-based RPG. It isn't a traditional turn-based game and doesn't try to be. It takes more cues from something like Shadow Hearts or Legend of Dragoon.
